Every year thousands of homes are attacked by termites or other wood destroying pests. All buildings, including brick and concrete, are susceptible to termite infestation. Home purchasers need to know if these pests are present before investing their money. It is wise to have the property inspected by a licensed pest control operator who can detect the presence of wood destroying pests that can seem invisible to you. Most importantly, if there is an infestation, the licensed pest control operator can report his findings in written format to you and your Realtor. Insect Assassins Pest Control, Inc. emails this report promptly to you and to your Realtor giving you fast results when you’re under a time constraint.
What does the inspection entail?
A qualified representative from Insect Assassins Pest Control, Inc. will perform the inspection. He inspects all visible areas of the structure which are readily accessible. If he finds evidence of an infestation, he reports this on a specified form.
Does a termite report guarantee there is no infestation?
No! Due to the characteristics and behavior of various wood destroying insects, it may not always be possible to determine the presence of an infestation without defacing or removing parts of the structure being inspected. The inspector is not allowed to deface or remove any part of the structure.
What if evidence of an infestation is found?
Insect Assassins Pest Control, Inc. will recommend and propose appropriate treatment to control the pest. For termites, a treatment is guaranteed for one year, meaning that if an infestation is found while the guarantee is in effect, it will be retreated (the infested area) at no charge to you. Annual re-inspections and renewal of the yearly guarantee, in most cases, may be made for a nominal fee.
